Next Race: 27/04/2025
Tough but beautiful!
Loved the run with variants rather than just flat, just sad it was so badly supported regarding entries
Fab Marshall’s, great atmosphere just low on entries for both events?
Saddens me as so much effort is put into organising these events but we certainly enjoyed it
Well marshalled and very challenging
It was very disappointing to realise that the course was not properly measured and was around 0.5 miles longer than the expected 13.1 miles. I’ve run this race every year since it started and it’s very disappointing that this year’s time is not comparable with previous years due to them being different distances.
Scenic, varied course, well-organised, great day out
Thanks to the team for all their hard work to make this such an enjoyable event. Marshalling and race instructions were really good. The white arrow markers on the ground were very helpful, particularly around the streets of Budleigh. A really well thought out and varied course (I did the half), lovely scenery. My partner did the 10k and would have liked to see distance markers on the course, also if there are more entries next year could you consider extending the age groups? (he is 77!)
Lovely run, great inclusive atmosphere
Stunning scenery with some challenging hills.
Many thanks as ever to the excellent volunteer marshals and organisers.
Well organised and did what it said on the tin
Little section abit after the main uphill that goes through a small park/grassed are could have been better signed to go left otherwise perfec. Thanks again to volunteers and ATC
An amazing race, with both trail and road and an amazing team who make it all happen
The race was amazing, lizzie and the team were amazing, I had an amazing day even though I was struggling due to yesterday's event, finished off the day with an amazing massage and a beautiful train journey home
Great event
Finish line a little unclear and confusing
Great undulating 10k, well organized and well recommended.
The road crossing sections were a bit dodgy and didn’t feel very safe. The rest was great!
Beautiful but definitely not for the faint hearted!
The half was really hard. I didn’t know the cliff path and ignorance was bliss as I wouldn’t have done it had I known just how steep and numerous the inclines were. Long sections were unrunnable. I think it could have been very dangerous had it been very wet or very windy.
Good marshalling and generally well organised.
Not enough small t shirts.
Enjoyed the race in the main but the final few miles would put me off doing this again.
Excellent day, would have thought you have been organising runs for years.
Excellent friendly run well organised
The clock at the finish line was not synchronized with the chip timing. One of our members was looking for a sub 1 hour and the photo of her coming over the timing mat shows the clock at 59:38 where her chip time was 1:00:21 nearly3/4 of a minute difference. Not a problem for most but very disappointing for her.
An Excellent, Friendly and Challenging Event
My only note, and it is a note not a criticism is that it would have been nice to have had more mile marker signs (I may have missed them, if I did, ignore this). For me they really help mentally.
Lovely mix between countyside and coastline.
Well done on running such a good event LM Events - a few things to mention:
The Air Cadets were very well turned out and very cheerful and helpful! - please pass this onto their CO.
The T-Shirt is lovely and goes very well with my running shorts so plus point there!
It was nice to have registration in a building big enough for people to keep warm in before the race - many other races don't have this!
Only thing I would say is after the 10Km seemed quite quiet but is a lovely route I can only think the barrier to more entries is the price. When on the 30% off April fools it was a good deal but £17 for an entry is in my eyes a bit expensive. Also maybe consider music at the start/finish to keep our energy levels up.
Overall though I loved the event so thanks for organising!
A run is a run
There was not enough Marshall's on route especially at the finish guiding runners where they had to go. This resulted me in going the wrong way and messing my time up. I was very disappointed by this.
A well organised event very tough second part of the race.
It would be nicer having time chips on the back on bibs as the ankle chips were uncomfortable.
Someone handing medals to you as you got over the line would increase atmosphere and occasion.
Well organised run and a beautiful route. Friendly marshals, great medal and t-shirt. What more could you want?
Excellent
Great communication with between myself and the organisers having fitness problems and easily aloud to switch from half to 10k..
Well organised, fantastic marshal support & wonderful T-shirt & medal
If I'm not running in the London Marathon next year, I will definitely sign up for this race again x
